I've been reading this book called The Lifebox, the Seashell, and the Soul and it gave me a little inspiration tonight. The book talks about experimental mathematics and the possiblity of that life is a computation. (Although there will always be things out there that can never be explained... ) If any of you read Rudy Rucker, he explores this concept alot and it's a treat to get a glimpse into his personal philosophy. So that's where Sacred Geometry originates. I began it last month, but scrapped the song and started over again. It's a bit of a departure from some of my older music, but I think it's a welcome one! I finished Awakening and added it to the Site. Over the next couple of weeks, we're going to upgrade the Household PCs and I'm going to start testing some new Music Software. There's a new version of Cakewalk I want to check out and hopefully the addition of RAM will help with Reason. I get to 5 or 6 tracks and the program starts to choke. It's okay if I'm just doing sequencing stuff on the PC, but sucks if I'm trying to record via. MIDI. So I'm going to finish up the Projects I have within Reason, see if adding the RAM helps and start playing with Cakewalk. We'll see how Loretta fares and go from there.
